There’s a good piece in The New York Times today about the death (and life) of the man known as Micah True. True, aka Caballo Blanco (memorialized in Chris McDougall’s blockbuster Born to Run) , was one of the strange and awe-inspiring characters that running legend Scott Jurek met when he journeyed into Mexico’s remote Copper Canyons to race the legendary Tarahumara Indians. Scott reveals surprising new information about that race, and Caballo Blanco, in his memoir, Eat & Run, which will be published in two weeks. If you want to run with and meet Scott, come to this fun run and book signing on Tuesday evening, June 5. (Or if you’re busy that night, come hear Scott and Chris McDougall earlier, at 12:30 at Bryant Park).
